From disinformation online to disruptions in public health policy, the rules are changing—and Atlanta communities need tools. This event is designed to help participants decode today’s media landscape, understand the mental health impact of federal policy rollbacks, and build real skills for community-level advocacy. It’s a gathering for professionals and community members ready to protect their peace, stand up for their families, and put knowledge into action.

poweplayEvent Highlights:

  • Live Conversation with Rose Scott & WABE – A signature talk on truth, media, and minority health from leading Atlanta journalist and community advocate.
  • Power Tools for Truth – This training breaks down how to spot misinformation and makes the case for why truth-finding is essential for a healthy democracy—and a healthy Black community.
  • Mental Health Moms Panel – Featuring a panel of licensed therapists (who are all mothers), this session dives into how today’s policy changes affect family well-being—and how to create safe, healthy spaces at home.
  • How to Advocate – Participants will walk away with practical steps for engaging public officials and speaking truth to power—locally and beyond.
